Meg Cobb began her pastry career at a very young age, though she did not realize it at the time. Many days were spent sitting next to the mixer, willing to be the taster at any given moment while her mother prepared the daily bread or dessert. While in high school, she worked at an artisanal bread bakery where she learned the fine craft of bread making. These early routines eventually inspired her to attend The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.
Meg's studies in NY led to many opportunities including an externship at The Greenbrier, a position as private pastry chef for an elite NYC based family, and even a year abroad in Spain working in a Michelin rated restaurant as well as a five star boutique hotel.
Additionally, Meg quickly found her niche while working at an acclaimed bakery, in Ohio, as the special occasion cake decorator. Combining her pastry talents and skills in fine art, these passions worked simultaneously.
Now a mother and wife of a chef, Meg runs Meg Cobb Creations. Her concentration is on decorated sugar cookies, special occasion cakes, and pies, though she’ll freely admit that bread was her first love! Find her sugar cookies available for shipping now on Etsy!
